I’m Annika, an Endorsed private midwife and an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consult (IBCLC) based in North-East Tasmania. I have lived here most of my life and am proud to call this corner of Tas my home. I grew up in Scottsdale but most of my work as a midwife has been based in Launceston and I feel a deep sense of community with the families here.
I have worked as a midwife in the public system for eight years, mostly as an MGP midwife (Midwifery Group Practice) which I really enjoyed. In 2022 I completed my Masters Degree in Primary Maternity Care which inspired me to change up my career and start providing private midwifery care. So, Tamar to Coast Midwifery and Lactation was born! I’m here to care for families around Scottsdale and Bridport as well as those in Launceston. I am offering you and your family a safe space to learn about your pregnancy and postpartum options, and breastfeeding journey in the comfort of your own home - no referrals needed!
